Struggles to Modernize
Due to the size WSP operates at, they struggled to modernize their online presence. They were far overdue for a much-needed upgrade to their Sitecore instance. However, this was not going to be an easy task, considering they had over 1,000,000 items across 38 languages. They also struggled to make a lead generation system that was sophisticated enough for their vast business needs and faced significant problems with their site’s performance.
The Solution
Modernization Realized
When we heard about WSP's challenges, we knew that they were something that we could tackle. With an upgrade this large we needed to be diligent to ensure that no pieces were missing. We collaborated deeply with the development team at WSP, coming up with creative solutions to problems as they arose, facilitating a deep partnership between both teams. While this upgrade was monumental it was something that we were able to successfully accomplish. The Sitecore instance was given a much-needed upgrade and WSP reaped all of the benefits that came with it, providing an easy-to-use solution accessible to developers, marketers, and also customers. Along with the peace of mind that WSP got knowing this massive upgrade was now completed.
Engineering an Enhanced Communication Funnel
Aside from our partnership to upgrade Sitecore for WSP, we also solved other problems. We implemented an advanced contact form capable of routing inquiries to the appropriate regional offices based on the nature of the request and its location, ensuring that every inquiry finds the right destination. The new lead generation system allowed WSP to keep contact inquiries much more organized and made it so they always made it to the correct business unit to tackle the request.
A Much Needed Performance Boost
Finally, we were able to give WSP a much-needed performance boost. By integrating Cloudflare and edge caching, WSP’s site went from multi-second to sub-100ms delays. Alongside the technologies for a boost in performance we implemented a global Web Application Firewall (WAF) for enhanced security. Adding these ensures users stay secure and have the best user experience possible on the site without significant delays.
A Significant Digital Upgrade for WSP
Through this partnership Fishtank achieved a significant digital upgrade for WSP. We were able to complete a monumental upgrade to their Sitecore, dramatically improve page load speeds, and introduce an effective lead generation solution that optimized WSP's global inquiry management. This project highlighted the importance of strategic digital transformation in enhancing operational scalability, client engagement processes, and regional responsiveness. Our work ensures they continue to have digital success and that their users have an exceptional experience for the foreseeable future.
