Parametric Portfolio is an investment management firm specializing in custom portfolio solutions for investors. For nearly 30 years, Parametric Portfolio has brought clarity and accessibility to investment science by using technology and customizing portfolios to unique client goals.
Modernizing Parametric’s Sitecore Experience
Parametric Portfolio came to Fishtank with a need for an upgraded Sitecore instance. At the time, they were running an outdated version of the platform and wanted to ensure they could benefit from the newer version. Parametric was also a very early adopter of the Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA), so there was no established path for upgrading to the recent versions, making it so we had to forge our own way. Despite an unclear path to upgrading, with collaboration from Parametric's DevOps and Infrastructure team, we were able to leverage our combined expertise to get SXA up and running.
We also successfully migrated the existing codebase, content, and customizations to the newer version Sitecore. This facilitated a seamless transition and laid the groundwork for implementing cutting-edge infrastructure. This strategic move ensured enhanced performance, greater scalability, and improved security, paving the way for future innovations and development.
After our work, Parametric now has access to improved features like empowering content authors and marketers to take control of their sites and make changes with access to the latest digital marketing tools as well as the ability to speed up the production of websites and reuse components, layouts, and templates with SXA.
