A/B tests allow you to test different versions of content against a particular goal, to see which version of the content is more effective.
Testing content against an objective is paramount to ensuring your marketing assets such as your landing page are performing as you'd expect them to.
Sitecore has great A/B testing features for pages.
You can A/B test different pages, different components on the same page, as well as different versions of a page. You can even set the confidence level, the hypothesis, how long you want to run the test for, how you want to determine the winner, and whether you want to select the winner manually, or have Sitecore choose it for you.
There are 3 types of A/B or multivariate tests that you can run on a Sitecore page:
- Basic content test
- Component test
- Page test
To set each test up, read my guide for running A/B and multivariate tests in Sitecore.
